Today marks the 112th anniversary of founding of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated on November 17, 1911. These stalwarts were indeed visionary to recognize the cardinal principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance and uplift.

To be initiated into a brotherhood of caring individuals at Virginia Union University, at the age of 17 — when the world around me was indifferent to my aspirational advancement in life — furthered what had been instilled in me at home, the high possibility of the individual.

To my brothers, the motivation and uplift you provided me has sustained me through the years. Yours was leadership that is sorely missed and greatly needed today in all aspects of life.

Stay tuned.
