I encounter few people who don’t observe, particularly in the African American community, that Education, Housing, and Crime are the highest priorities to be addressed in our communities.
I see this in cities, states, and across the nation.
Yet, these issues REMAIN unaddressed.
Now, the U. S. House has passed legislation to create a commission to study the ephemeral issue of Reparations.
I guess we can’t address the “existential” problems until this is argued and debated. After all, we’re still determining the scope of the National Commitment called for by the Kerner Commission report in 1968, and we need to know that our representatives are really hard at work… for us.
Our nation is in dire need of renewed commitment to the people, ALL of America’s people.
