Today we celebrate the founding of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the powerful vision of the men who created an organization grounded in the principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. Their ideals continue to inspire excellence and leadership across generations.
Seventy-five years ago, as a 17-year-old student at Virginia Union University, I became a member of this brotherhood. At a time when the world offered little encouragement for my ambitions, the fraternity provided support, fellowship and a deep belief in the promise of every individual. It reinforced the values I learned at home and strengthened my commitment to serve and to lead.
As we honor this founding, I remain grateful for the profound impact that Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has had on my life and for the brothers who continue to carry its legacy forward.
