Virginia has long stood at the crossroads of American history — its soil steeped in struggle, triumph, and transformation. From the birth of our democracy to the battles for civil rights, our Commonwealth has been both a mirror and a molder of the American story.

That’s why I invite you to join me for a conversation that is as timely as it is necessary.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15, I will speak at The Virginia Forum at the Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center on the theme “The Virginia Way: Using History to Shape a Better Future.”

The challenges we face today — division, distrust, and discontent — are not new.  My time in public service, spanning more than seven decades, has taught me this: history can either weigh us down or lift us up. The choice is ours; we must show that we have learned from it or we are doomed to repeat it.

This forum is not just an event — it’s an opportunity. An opportunity to reflect, engage, and reclaim the principles that made Virginia a model for the nation in sound governance and bipartisan cooperation. I’ll be sharing insights from my time as Virginia’s 66th Governor and reflecting on how we can restore leadership, accountability, and fiscal responsibility in today’s volatile political landscape.

Purchase your tickets today with early access for VIP ticket holders at 5:45 p.m. and general admission beginning at 7 p.m.

Let us gather not merely to reminisce, but to recommit to one another and to the future of our Commonwealth.

Stay tuned.
